Installation Technician

SUMMARY

AE Global is an AVL integrator primarily serving churches throughout the United States. AE Global is seeking a person with a base knowledge of AVL as well as an understanding of churches, their styles, goals, and functions. A Installation Technician must ensure that all AVL projects are completed accurately, timely, with a high degree of quality and that they produce the desired effect. AE

Global provides on the job training to invest in its team. A candidate does not need to possess all the knowledge listed below to be qualified to apply for the position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work hand in hand, in relationship with the churches and clients AE Global serves.
  • Work to maintain a healthy team dynamic. Working in unity at all times.
  • Assisting with assurance of designs, physical completeness in accordance with installation drawings.
  • Preparing equipment: Inventorying, testing, labeling, addressing, programming, rack building and soldiering
  • Packing equipment and loading/unloading of trucks
  • Audio Installation Work: building of racks and wire termination; setting up and wiring stage; system tuning.
  • Video Installation Work: mounted LED walls; high profile projectors and screens; routers and switchers; distribution equipment; floor pockets; camera systems: video engineering equipment; production communication equipment; building of racks and wire termination; deployment of flat-screen displays and their mounts; extensive digital signage systems; build-out of control rooms and their furniture; conference room technology systems.
  • Lighting Installation Work: Hanging, cabling, and addressing lighting fixtures; patching, setting up and programming consoles; building of racks and wire termination; installing and programming architectural control stations; hanging and mounting distribution equipment; floor pockets.
  • Commissioning of systems: Setup, testing & tuning; troubleshooting; programming; end-user client training; client interface; operation of opening day services. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

TRAVEL

The role of Installation Technician requires regular and recurring travel to the destinations of our clients. Duration from a few days up to

two weeks at a time depending on size of installation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred but not required:

  • Electrical, AVL, Computer Networking and or construction skills, Low Voltage or Security Licensing, ETC certifications
  • Must be a team builder but able to self motivate and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and follow safety postings. 
  • Must possess the ability to work closely with diverse groups of people, including company employees at all levels, area contractors, owners, suppliers, representatives of religious organizations and other outside professionals with whom the company deals with on a regular basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling and lifting. Sufficient use of hands and arms to operate field equipment and tools.
